About me
Kjari C. Newell, M.A., serves as the CDHHE Network Lead & Compliance Manager and has dedicated nearly two decades to supporting deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. Her experience includes eight years as an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and over a decade in early intervention with Indiana’s Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education, supporting infants, toddlers, and caregivers.
Bilingual in English and American Sign Language, Kjari is committed to equitable and culturally responsive early intervention that honors and supports families with diverse heritage languages and backgrounds. She has also contributed nationally as a Curriculum Content Contributor, Reviewer, and Designer for the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center’s REAL Family Curriculum.
